VITA NOVA

It was just a fantasy the last time when we believed it would be fun to relish a year of sitting at home-no pressure, no timetable;just leisure ! We grew over the idea ,got busy with our lives and was set to make the most of the last year at school(12th graders);after all,we'd miss school the most when we look back .
It's some sort of contradiction that you get things you want, when you have the least desire for it(Say,God's first law of juxtaposition).
True to the saying 'If you want to make God laugh,tell him your plans',we were all shut inside ,we grappled with fear(insert present tense wherever required) and were anxious about the future(if it existed).
Conspiracies,Online games,Netflix,OTT releases,Online classes,Online work,Late night activities and late morning slumbers-Is the passing year that shallow?

Or did we learn to go with the flow and deal with disappintments?

A roller coaster ride,with highs and lows,depression and elation,dreams and nightmares....We were all part of history!
And how many generations get hold of that 'opportunity'?

When it's almost over,when it's reopening and unlocking all over, with reinforcing reins of fear,we have inevitably the hope to move forward ,fear and a tiny ember of longing with the epicureans we are to remain in the comfort of our shelters to 'eat,drink and be merry.'

Yes,the 2020 game is over!We are awaiting the dawn of a new decade.

'January'-inspired from the Greek God Janus ,the 2 headed God of fresh beginnings and transitions,implores us to move forward with the head that faces ahead to signify the hope we have for the upcoming events and the readiness to go on,move further and work hard to make the most of the next.
And the head turning backward?
To look back,save good memories,delete the gloom and of course,learn from it all.
Exactly how we are going to march ahead!


If 2020 was the transition period between 2 phases of our life, the pause button in the incessantly playing video,it was also the  set of much needed 'sitbacks' and 'setbacks' to bond,learn,take a break and to be thankful for what you had .

Tomorrow might mark the beginning of our new life.
Yes,it's the same life we were living all these years,with new chances,positive vibes and reinforced strength!

PRIDE AND PREJUDICE

It never felt quite okay to peep into the well near my home, that triangular vessel of mystery, because anytime, I was told, the arms of an octopus residing there could strangle me, taking me with it, into the depths of darkness. Certainly, that was the longest-living nightmare that they had managed to inculcate! The crocodile in the black waters of the washing machine was short-lived comparatively! Onam Diaries #Part 2

It's of absolutely no wonder that we laughed off the idea of a virtual onam celebration!Dressing up for the camera was different in a not so good way with the fact that we could have no live games or jovial talks and the probability of discomfiture and shifting eyes posing as a dark cloud.All the online meetings for preparations for the online onam celebration went on with low traffic and the calls for activities and participations were attended to ambiguously. After all,how good could a virtual celebration be?  Einstein's words,"God does not play dice",seems to be faltered in the philosophies and the daily life matters governing us.
